The restaurant, on the other hand, is very cozy and inviting, with a big wooden porch and friendly service. So far, this is the best place I have been in Houston for cocktails. I'd expect to pay and arm and a leg for options like habanero-infused vodka and gin cocktails with fresh rosemary, but they are all pretty reasonably priced around $7-$8. There's also a drink called trash can punch, which was sweet and delicious, but definitely made me feel like a yuppie - who pays for trash can punch?
The food menu is kinda a gut-buster - lots of bbq, lots of fried meat, lots of heavy sides. But you probably deserve a good meal from time to time, so there's no reason not to indulge in some mac & cheese and fried okra.
Thumbs up, will go back!
